    Default Wanting a new system...

I'm looking for a decent system around the £250-£300 area, including an OS. (I have a monitor already).

I'd be using it for music, homework, and the Internet, but would like to be able to play games such as The Sims 2 on it (I can do the Sims 3 on my laptop).

I wouldn't be buying this until after Windows 7 comes out, so OS will probs be that.

I'd like a dual-core if possible, and a memory card reader that reads CF cards would be nice too.

    Any suggestions would be welcome.

that guy just posting 3 more than capable machines above, gosh, why do people in this section think that having a quad core processor and 8gb memory is everything? 2gb and dual core is MORE than acceptable for homework, music, and occasional gaming.

The third one is fine, the other two have stupid processors and by the looks of it integrated graphics cards.

and all he wants to play is Sims 2 and games like that which are not intense games which will each resources and don't have too many physics objects.

Systems 1 and 3 would be very useful to me, but I do prefer system 1, purely due to the 500Gb HDD and DVI and HDMI ports. System 2 (the acer) is a no because I find acer products unreliable. Flisker gets a +REP when i'm on the laptop, and recursion, you are starting to really annoy me today
