Will anyone else go and see this?

Personally I think the whole 2012 dooms day thing is all a load of rubbish but the director of this movie directed both 'The Day After Tommorow' and 'Independence Day' both films I love so I have a feeling this could be quite good

    Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hz86TsGx3fc
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

Roland Emmerich is a hack who has never delivered on anything in his career. See his last film: critical flop 10,000 B.C. - this will inevitably be a CG car crash.

Misawa, I love CGI but obviously you prefer the raw acting with a tiny bit of CGI? Which is fair enough tbh, I wouldn't complain... but this looks quite decent. No doubt it'll become a over-played film on ITV2 on the movie weeknight films. Like Day After Tommorow.

Of course it looks awesome, it's the trailer, and it looks epic on all levels - yet every single one of Roland Emmerich's films do. That's what he does, he makes films based around epic subjects, yet he has never ever delivered. He is one of Hollywood's most hated directors.

Lost, I don't know "everything", nor have I ever claimed to do, that would be idiotic. Yet, when it comes to film, without blowing my own horn too much and just being honest, I know a hell of a lot.

thats [erfectly fine, i do that on many levels when i know a hell of a lot on somthing hehe. it just comes across a bit arrogant.

But i have to say independece day has been one of the best films i have ever seen and is highly acclaimed. not so much The day after tommoz but that is still a highly respectable film. so that is why im looking foraward to this.

Highly acclaimed? :S I've never heard that from anyone. At best I've seen it classed as an average flick. In all honesty, the first half an hour is really great, showing brilliant promise, and then it just goes straight down the toilet. But as long as you like it.

    Trailer looks amazing.

However, I don't want to watch something I'm very uneasy about as a subject all ready. But knowing me, I'm gonna go see it anyway.

    Edit:
Lmao, just saw the clip of Times Square with the President giving a speech. Trying to keep up with showing a black President? You wouldn't have done this 10 years ago and given him a different name...

Everybody has different opinions of films and not everyone is going to like everything! So maybe disaster movies are not your thing, i assure you i could find a heck of alot of people who think they are good films.
