Does anybody know from experience what it's like when you are with people that are drinking when you aren't? It's just that after recent events I don't want to drink but still want to go out with them. I can imagine it being rather funny laughing at them but I might also be more shy talking to random people as I've not had a drink etc. Would really appreciate good, honest answers here please.

it's a load of crp. was on anti-biotics before and yeah you end up chasing around after people and everyone is having a better time than you basically, don't do it.

i hate it when everyone else is drunk and i'm not, i remember i went through a period where i'd never drink when everyone else was but i'd just end up going home 'cos I'd get super annoyed.

I'm exactly the same - I need to drink to overcome my shyness . I haven't experienced being the only one not drinking yet, but I imagine I will do because now I'm driving, if it's just a night out at the pub, I'd much rather sacrifice the drink rather than walk there (save a few quid as well!)

Er it pretty much sucks. I always feel really uncomfortable if everyone else is drinking and I'm not.

My friend was on Ibprofen and Paracetamol once, he had a problem with his shoulder and thats what the docter advised him to take. I think we were at an 18th and he couldn't drink cause of the medication, and I wasn't really in the mood for drinking, had work in the morning and couldn't be arsed. Basically we left rather early cause we just didn't enjoy it as much. So it does affect how you perceive the night .
