The differences between the RC and the RTM are marginal if you just want to try it before buying. It expires in 2010 giving more than enough time to trial.

I currently have windows vista, if i dont like 7 would i be able to get vista back?

Sorry, the Windows 7 RC is no longer available for download. The general release version of Windows 7 will be available on October 22, 2009.

If you installed on a seperate partition you could remain on vista, however directly upgrading means you wont.
You can get the RC off of any torrent site.Ex-janitor. Might pop in from time to time, otherwise you can grab all my information from http://jamesy.me.uk/
