    So I just bought myself a nice new MacBook with Snow Leopard but I'm either looking to Dual Boot it with Windows 7 or to install Windows 7 in Bootcamp. The problem? I don't own Windows 7. Is there anywhere I can get a full version with student discount cheaply or is there anywhere where I can buy XP or Vista cheaply so I can just upgrade to Windows 7 using the £30 deal?

    You can use the Microsoft student upgrade to get it for £30, then make it into an ISO image and then go burn it

    I know where to get it but cheers anyway . The student discount is on upgrades only isnt it? Because I dont have any versions of Windows on my MacBook.

    There's an option for a clean install if that means anything to dual booters I think Home Prem does it too, but I've only got Pro so wouldn't know.

    I installed the 'upgrade for £30' on a seperate partition, it didn't even know if XP was their or not. Once I installed it I turned the 'expandedSetup' into a bootable .iso disc and burned to a DVD, in case I ever need to do a fresh install.

    If your at uni on a computing related course though you may wana check if you get msdnaa access as that'll get u win7 pro 32/64 free
