no i know but its mainly the price of the phone

if i go directly to orange - the phone on this deal costs nearly £200

same with other comparison sites like carphone warehouse and phones4u

It's called marketing, they've made it look like an amazingly cheap, good quality phone when really your paying well over £400 for it.

How does that make sense? The more expensive the contract the cheaper the phone is normally.

And the person saying you're paying over £400 for the phone, you're not really. You have messages an calls etc all within that price.

Agreed, I work out my contracts like this.
Basically work out how much you'd like to pay for a decent phone.
e.g £150.

Then work out the amount you top up every month anyway - e.q
Multiply that by the contract term - 18. - £270

Total: 420.
My next contract for blackberry will be 402 in total and i get more minutes and unlimited texts.
