    Default Any ideas of a good first car?

    I'm looking to spend now more than £3000 on the car and £1500 on insurance, ive been looking a corsas and micras but any other good suggestions?

    Ford Fiestas are very good first time cars, as well as the Corsa you mentioned

    Yep, Micras and Japanese cars generally. Basically don't buy French. This is the advice I was given for reliability anyway .

    I'm pretty sure other than my Mini, a Micra was the cheapest thing I could find to insure.

    Yeah, I'd go for a VW Polo/Gold. They're German and solid as a rock.

    Get a Panzer if you are going German otherwise I reckon a commodore, everyone seems to get them.

    I'd recommend a vauxhall corsa, and they are pretty reasonable to insure
