    I think I may just of gotten it, was playing a bit of COD4 then suddenly it turns off. I try to turn it back on it flashes green then yellow then goes back to red. Shall I leave it for a bit? or is my PS3 completely ******?

    not completely ******, you can easily repair it yourself (look on youtube).

    Take it to someone you know that's technical and pay them 20 quid to do it. Make sure they know what there doing though.

    Oh so is it only going to happen if you have it switched on for hours at a time? I rarely use mine so it should be cool .

    I have mine on for long periods of time as I watch a lot of DVDs, but it's worked great since launch day 2007. It happened to my brother's though when installing an update 5 minutes after it was turned on, and he doesn't use his that often.
