Quick question

Well theres this school-compulsory subject (French) we had to do for GCSE which I'm on the 2nd year for (I got 3 years GCSE) which was only introduced before my courses started so really I never signed up to it when I joined the school. I also done this subject for 1 year before GCSE. Everyone wanted to do German because we had 2 years learning it and more lessons on the year we done French.

Anyway the question is, in my school (at least) you can drop chosen subjects for free periods to catch up on other subjects. If I gave them enough hassle and showed them how much I seriously suck at it and hate it + the no good helping teachers, is there a chance I could drop it? It's just a bit iffy because the school no longer specialises in languages but still makes us do it as compulsory.

If you say you won't pass or get the grades I'm sure they'd let you drop it, in my school they did anyway.

If you get your parents to contact your school and inform them that they are worried about you failing other courses due to the amount of time you have to put into French (because you suck at it) then I'm pretty sure it's a strong enough argument and they'll let you drop it.

i dropped quite a few lessons when i was in school cos i was failing english and IT miserably lol, including my A* work in photography
