Online problem

hi I have Modern warfare 2 for xbox 360 and want to play online but whenever i go to find match it just stays on testing matches 50 potential games found. If someone invites me to a game I can play online but I cant search myself

Aside from turning everything off, unplugging your adapter and starting again, I can't think of anything. How is your internet signal?

I dont know how to check on xbox but on laptop it says Excellent. I also use a ethernet cable to connect my xbox. At the bottom it says NAT = Strict on the xbox.

Oh if you use a cable the connection should be fine... have you tried resetting the console and starting again to see if you can find a match?
