Default What should I do first; Cardio or Weights?

Hey I've been going to the gym now for about 4 weeks and I'v just always started my work out with cardio followed by weights.
I'm up to about an hour of cardio now so it's definately working fitness wise but I'm actually most concerned with losing weight.
A friend of mine told me I should do my weight lifting before I do cardio because it would increase my fat burn or something but then I've heard people say it's best to do cardio first because it gets your blood flowing and brings your body tempreture up etc.

so my question is which excercise should I do first or is it really not that important?

    thanks.

What do you mean by your most concerned with losing weight?

Personally i think you should always start with cardio as it warms up your muscles and raises your heart rate.

If you do alternate days, i.e cardio one day, weights the next, then you should still always start with a light jog rather than jumping straight to the weights.

    Cardio first. Always.
It increases your heart rate. Obviously you will lose weight, if the equipment you use tells you how much you lose in calories, try and increase it to the original state.
Always eat a high protein diet, really.
Then you do Weights. The more protein you have, the bigger your mussels would look when you work out.

I presume you mean the cardio to warm up, not too burn the fat straight away btw?

Ehh no, you need to do weights first or you'll blow your energy for when you need to pump that iron. To 'get the blood flowing' you should do easy pressups (with feet or knees on the floor and hands on your bed matress, so you only do half the range of motion) and then do bicep curl, 20 reps of a dumbell at 30% of your usual weight, then do some more easy pressups. That will get the blood flowing. I personally do cardio at a different time of day to weights.

@BeanEgg: Eating a high protein diet is not necesary, 1g of protein per lb of body mass is all you need, infact it's probably slightly more than you need but an easy figure to live by. Get in bw in lb in grams of protein, that's all the protein you need. Eating more will not make your muscles bigger, you get the right amount and more past that point is waste, and will be stored as fat.
