Uhm, my G1 is starting to take its tole, sometimes the signal totally goes randomly when i normally get signal in that area, then when i turn it on and off it sends like 40 texts to my recent people iv been texting. What can i do

Try reflashing the ROM, also the thing where it loses signal, happens to many people and is being looked at for the next ROM release, just switch it into Airplane mode then back to normal mode and it'll work again

The dropping coverage problem is a big one that exists on other phones like the iPhone, many Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones etc. I think the phones get confused if they drop in and out very quickly, say.. in your pocket.
