    Default Utorrent 2.0 Released For Windows! [Beta]

    What is cool about the new utorrent is it allows you to watch movies whilst downloading, which I think is rather cool. You can download utorrent 2.0 by clicking here.

    Features:
    * Multiple simultaneous downloads
    * Smart bandwidth usage
    * File level priorities
    * Configurable bandwidth scheduling
    * Global and per-torrent speed limiting
    * Quickly resumes interrupted transfers
    * UPnP support (WinXP only)
    * Supports popular protocol extensions

    What's New in version 2.0 Beta:
    * Fix: Port settings saved in Setup guide
    * Change: updated help file code to be forward compatible with changes
    * Fix: fixed torrent creation bug
    * Fix: fixed crash introduced in last build
    * Fix: fixed rare crash when parsing messages

    What's your thoughts on this?

    Post any bugs if your a utorrent 2.0 beta user, to allow feedback on the program to others.

    Cheers,
    Richard.

    It's not released if it's in Beta?

    Edit: * UPnP support (WinXP only)

    You do NOT want that

    Why? I use UPnP streaming to stream my pictures, music and video to other devices in our house and its great, just wish I had a bit more control in terms of security.

    UPnP is one of the most insecure things on planet earth and is a serious source of an exploit. I pay close attention intro disabling it everywhere.

    I know it is, disabling it on the router, fine, but how else are you meant to stream content to PS3s, 360s etc?

    I meant, how would you stream media to the device? If I turn UPnP off on my computer, I can no longer stream to anything on the LAN.

    If I turn it off on my router then as you say, no biggy, just have to open ports manually to let anything in/out.
