Well if you have an iPhone or iPod Touch... hell you could just use iTunes, then you can see the company's name for each app.

The biggest one I tend to see now is EA making their games like Madden NFL, FIFA, Spore, Need for Speed Shift.
Then of course Facebook itself makes its own app.
Firemint make games like Flight Control and Real Racing
Disney Interactive made Jelly Car 2 (or published I forget).

At the end of the day they were a few examples of what seems to be an endless amount of developers/companies making apps.

Gameloft are one of the biggest developers I'd say, they've made rather a lot and have made quite a few conversions from console games to iPhone apps.
