is there any way of attaching my laptop to a tv an playing a movie from laptop and make it show up on the tv lol?

if you have a vga cable you cann


they only show the video though you have to use the sound from laptop. which is fine for youtube n stuff but probably not a moviee

If your laptop is newer, it may have HDMI. If your TV and laptop have this socket

...and you have an HDMI lead (easily available), you can connect both sound and picture to your TV, and have a higher quality image.

If you can't do either of the above then:


Take apart your laptop, look for the cables leading towards your monitor, if you splice those then you might be able to turn it into Composite out.
