    Default Thanks system

Its probably been submitted before but I personally prefer a Thanks system as not many people use the rep system. Its much quicker as all you have to do is press 'Thanks'.

Maybe you could do it so that everytime you get Thanked you get rep points or something? I just think it would encourage people to actually thank people for helpful posts.

I know Jamesy is a fan on this, but I personally would prefer encouraging use of the reputation system

I don't understand the difference though.. would rep power still be part of how much 'thanks' you can give someone?
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

    Easy to administrate too :8.

Yes I am a fan of this. I prefer public signs of appreciation, and not everyone feels like posting to say 'thanks'.

The issue that I feel is troubling to a lot of people is the space it takes up, which can be sorted by template editing.

Thanks are seperate, although if I can recall right it does give rep at the same time.

i like this idea, needs more ways of encouraging people to reward a "thankyou" for a helpful post.

This man speaks the truth, I much prefer the thanks system to rep as it's just alot easier. It'd be great to see this on the forum, obviously there'd have to be new rules in place to stop abuse but other than that, would be a good addition.

I would support this if it was installed alongside reputation

i dont like it, id rather rep
and people bought rep and it would also take away a vip feature

edit; dont see why a post saying thanks aint public enough? and they only started to give rep as prizes

It could be used with the rep system.
