    Default iTunes and windows 7.. + bare rep

    so i just got a new laptop with windows 7

    and i cant install itunes on it, it recommended that i download the 64-bit version, so i did. i installed it as recommended and now it just says 'itunes cannot run as there are files missing'. it just wont work, helpp?

    thats strange. Go into the control panel and remove it completely.

    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

    then download from there and make sure your computer matches the specs on the list, which im sure it would since you can run W7. Is it a 64 bit computer?

    ive downloaded it as normal from the apple site, and it didnt work. and no, its a 32-bit computerr.

    in that case i doubt the 64bit version will work.

    The only other thing i can suggest is to download it from another source. like cnet.com. make sure its completely uninstalled before you do though

    i downloaded and run itunes fine on w7, run it in xp mode if it doesnt work for you
