Default Vista logging off after login

Hey, my girlfriend has been having a problem with her laptop, after logging into her main account the screen goes black & logs her out, any idea what this is caused by? And how to fix it?

I have tried replacing the registry key method.

You could always use this as an excuse to fork over the cash for a win7 upgrade?

When I had to unfortunately run Vista this happened to me several times. Can you log in while in safe mode?
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.

I would, but she really wants on to get the saved passwords the user has.

Anyway to access the saved passwords from another computer account?

and no, it makes a new user when i tried to do that.

If you have your OS disc, you could configure your computer to boot from disc and do a repair install, which would more than likely fix this problem
