Friends and relationships?

Do you value your friends opinions when you're in or contemplating a relationship? For example, say your friends really hated the guy/gal you want to be with and you liked would you listen to your friends and forget about the guy/gal or would you tell your friends that this is what you wanted and you're going to do it?

I'd ignore them and do what I wanted, seeing as it's your life and your in control of it, not your friends.

If I really wanted to be with the person then I'd see if my friends could come to a compromise but in the past they've always been right about their judgements (well the friends I care about ) so it would definitely affect my opinion on a person. Probably makes me sound really weak but it's true

Really though, if its a girl that my mates really dont like then I wont cuz who are you gonna be hanging out with most of the time? :S I wouldnt ditch my mates for the sake of a girl, I'd either try and include her or... ye, dump. new work ethic LOL.

Like Melsia, I'd have to find some sort of compromise if my friends didn't like the person I was luvvin, they'd both be very important to me
