    Default brit awards nominations 2010

30th anniversary show is on february 16th. my choices are in bold, although most are just the pick of a bad bunch.

pretty sure ellie goulding has already been awarded this though.

literally can't believe the woeful choices in here. these are the best british albums since 1980? ********. where's radiohead? the smiths?

although animal collective, breakthrough act? seems funny considering their ninth album came out this year.

    i think i can i think i can i think i

to be honest, i dont know enough of these artists to really be able to choose. all these lists have one or two artists i havent given even a reasonable listen.

all im going to say is huh? @ this selection.

and @ animal collective in the "breakthrough" section: whats their definition of "breakthrough?" animal collective will never ever ever be played on the radio, so that cant be it, and even though they have widened their fanbase since mpp, theyve been well recognized by music publications since 2004.

Not a big fan of the Brit Awards or Pop music in general, I hate how some artists are idolised when half of them have tosh voices.

Aslong as Dire Straits wins that one they are nominated for, I'll be happy, only decent band/artist up there.

I thought Florence & The Machine was a band. Everything here is so random :S I'd be happy to see Kasabian to win at least one of their nominations and Bruce Springsteen should take the international one.

The Album of 30 years one looks like it could be interesting.... some of them are great iconic albums but others are just stupidly random as if they've been picked out of the air. (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? has to take it though I reckon. In fact a lot of the nominations in most of those awards look extremely odd.

I love Leona so much but I never expected her to get a nomination this time around.

she has a backing band - "the machine" - but really she writes all the songs by herself, so she's a solo artist technically.
