They've give me my hobbies, my values, shaped (slightly) the way I see the world, my sense of humour, my brain (they used to give me loads of books) etc etc. I think they influence us more than we give them credit for anyway.

Ditto. My parents and I both have pretty good brains, we're all into music and sometimes sport (depends what though, ew at something like PE at school) and just bits and bobs, infact phrases because I speak a bit of old English some of the time! But yeah I agree with Mike, as we live with them a lot of the time we are bound to be influenced by them.

ooh my dad taught me men could be heartless (def where i got that from:rolleyes, rest of his family were downright racist so can't say much about that

my mum really taught me to keep my head held high when i was having a tough time + my brothers have shown through their experiences to really go for what i want instead of taking the easy options and not giving it your all, they influenced me by their experiences not their words :8

haven't really thought about it but yup..

I'm polite, well spoken, behaved and know when enough is enough. I like to think all of that is due to my family and upbringing. I'm so glad I'm not one of those idiotic kids out there every night causing trouble and comitting crimes. I'll always be eternally grateful to my parents. Although I wish they introduced me to the piano or some kind of instrument when I was young so I'd be able to play it really good now. Must be nice to be able to create music.

Well my dad influenced me quite alot, i want to be a bit like him, in some ways i want to be identical and in other areas i want to be completely different. I think after he died i put my life into perspective and everything about me changed, and if you knew me you could tell the huge change. My step-dad influences my humour completely, we're identical in our funnyz. And my mum, well my mum is my mum, i wouldn't be able to cope without her.

    xx

I think they've had a huge impact on mine. If I can be as half as good of a Dad than my Dad has been then I'll be wicked. However, I've learnt from both of them the importance of doing well at school (because they didn't) and I've learnt from their mistakes too.
