Anybody been to see this? I went last night, well originally to see Avatar 3d which was sold out! But this was way better than I imagined it to be. Downey was great as Holmes and I don't really like Jude Law as an actor but he was great as Watson, didn't even annoy me which is a feat in itself. Thoughts anyone else?

Nic and I also went to see this last night.

I thought it was quite good, not amazing but it kept me entertained for two and a half hours so I'm not really complaining.

Interesting twist at the end which is what I like.

The way they showed things such as the fights was quite interesting too

I saw this movie a few weeks back, and I thought it was really good. I mean, the plot was pretty predictable from my standpoint, but I live for Sherlock Holmes stories and I loved following along with the mystery, and the fight scenes were pretty good. It was a good mystery even though I figured it out before it ended.

    It's that long?

Reviews are mixed. It's said to be Guy Ritchie's best, which isn't saying much.

I dot know whether to see this or not, heard different things about it. Some people said it was really good, whereas other said it was shocking.

I went to see this a couple of weeks ago. I'd say it's pretty good but nothing too spectacular. As Oli said, did keep me entertained for a couple of hours though.

I can't say i've seen any other Guy Ritchie films but I wouldn't imagine them to be very different to this one in terms of style. It was a pretty predictable story but I still liked it. There again i'm very easily pleased

Is it full of action of what? Sherlock Holmes is supposed to be about mystery but this looks to me as if it's just trying to be a comic book superhero movie.

Mmm it does have action in it, but usually it's infused with humour. There is a bit of a mystery surrounding the plot. I thought it was quite cleverly made.

    Just a correction.

It's not appealing to me that much. I was only interested at all because of Downey Jr really which isn't a very good reason to go and see it.
