Default Can my teacher do this?

Basically we were doing oral coursework (for some reason, it was meant to be written). Basically she was outside with someone and like 3 people whispered and we "disturbed" her then she warned us that she'll put us a grade down if were not quiet. Then there was more noise (but not much, whispers again) and then she came in and said she knew who was talking but she "can't be certain" and is deducting everyones marks. My question is can she do it in this situation?
    Oh yer it was English.

yes, i think so. your supposed to be quiet during examinations. same goes for written exams, so if you started to talk during them, you'd be told to stop talking and then kicked out for it.

Does seem a bit harsh, but exams are extremely strict. You could appeal, you could get your marks back or a big fat no. Worth a try.

Yeah, I think she's just trying to teach you the concequences. Like said above, if your in an actual exam and you are doing anything to disturb people or disrupt the exam then you will either be kicked out of the test or have your paper ripped up and given a fail. So yeah, my advice is just behave
I'm burnin' up for you baby.

Technically those speaking weren't in the exam, we were in class doing normal work whilst someone was delivering the coursework.
& yes she would, she's a female dog, looks like one too.

Well there are times when you need to shut the **** up, this was apparently one of those times.

I never realise that until afterwards either (if ever) so I'm not saying I'm any better

If it's GCSE then yes, as those pieces of coursework are called Speaking & Listening.
