    Default how does...

    Windows 7 find drivers?

Because, theres thousands of drivers on the internet for different parts, they couldn't possibly fit it onto one DVD.

So how do they do it?

It grabs the hardware ID, vendor etc and then searches Windows Update which does index 1000s upon 1000s of different drivers

I think it does, as when I use my memory stick it says installing general drivers or something like that.
