    Yo,

I'm about to book 4 train tickets Manchester > Blackpool but it says they're 'off peak' - what the hell do they class as on peak and off peak because it doesn't say anywhere.

Also the time you select when booking, do you have to get on that EXACT train or can you get on any off peak train that day?

Thanks (return also btw, next day)

If you book a train with a specific time you have to get on that train you cant get on another.

Some tickets have no time but just a date and you can get on any train to that destination at any time of day.

    Nope thats offpeak return.

Think that means you have to get that time to where your going but can get any train home within the next month.

Peak time is roughly 7am-10am and 5pm-7pm, if you buy off peak tickets you won't be able to travel during these hours. Peak time tickets will be significantly more expensive though.

Although he picked that time, it doesnt mean he has got to travel at that time.
