    Default Wireless

I was given a Toshiba NB200 Netbook from schoo,

    I have one problem:
I am trying to connect it to my network, but its a FAILURE!

I have hoocked my router to it, only problem is I cannot connect to any website. - I can't even access my router's IP from the netbook. I only can on my desktop.

On IE it keeps saying: IE cannot display the webpage

    Please help,
    thanks - Sam

Well, you would've set it when you configured the router, however, if you hook an ethernet cable up, and it'll be on the router config somewhere

I hooked up the ethernet cable, but I still cannot access my routers IP. (192.168.1.1)

:S Hmm, right click your network adaptor > properties > ipv4 config, and see if the IP is preconfigured or something...

    I'm on XP btw:

    Wireless - Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
    LAN - Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

My IP looks slightly wrong, it's the same as my router's ip except it's slightly different at the end.

I still cannot connect to the internet even though I have the wireless connected (it says its connected) and the LAN is plugged in (via ethernet cable).

If it's setup to work at school go to IE > Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Untick "Use a proxy server for your LAN".
