Default Attempting to fix xbox myself :(

Well, it's out of warranty and I tried to get it repaired, but theres nothing to lose, i'm not paying £80 for a repair, when for abit more I can get an elite :/

    So i've ordered this : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XBOX-360-X-Cla...ht_6949wt_1165

And it had these links to tutorials:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvdJ-Q_T6Js
    www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-wni_SNFXU

And I was just wondering if anybody's done this or anything similar and its worked ?

ive done this and it works a treat. you have to make sure you tighten the screw as tight as they will go.
didnt have any torx screwdrivers so i filed the screw so it could take a phillips.

better than £30 for a repair like
