Just read any other tread from the last few days lol.

In summary:
Putting the cred prices up by one essentially takes a credit out of the system completely every time you buy one, a batch of 10, 20 or 50 credits. Thus, less credits in the game -> more credits purchased. That's the logic behind it although the general concensus is that it's a blatently underhanded tactic to get more dollar.
