    Default Router Problem

Rite, to keep it short -me and my bro both play Call of Duty MW2. Both have an xbox in our rooms, both are connected to the same router via wifi, but when in a lobby it always says that either our NAT type is Strict or Moderate, creating many problems as it means we cannot join many, if any games at all.

I've looked at many websites on the internet, they say opening ports, port forwarding, etc will work, but none work, the best I can get it to is Moderate, which still causes problems for both of our xbox's and is a pain in the ass.

We have a Linksys router, brand new, only bought 2 months ago, and we are on Virgin 50MB connection so their really shouldn't be any problems at all (we bought it when we upgraded from 20mb to 50mb), all was fine before when we had the old router and 20MB connection. So it must be the router (can't see it being the internet, we get speeds always above 40mb).

    Any ideas?

Thanks so much in advance, this is soo annoying, i've literally snapped today, before I could handle it, but now its pissing me off, so ******* annoying.

EDIT - If a mod see's this thread I think you should report a bug I found just, I was trying to create this thread in Chrome but it wouldn't work, when I clicked 'create thread' it just went to a white screen (tried about 5 times), but works perfectly in FireFox, strange.

    DD-WRT is extremely good

Just open the MW2 ports for PSN or XBL, find them on portforward.com

the custom firmware could be the problem?

also several routers simply dont have the correct "things" to allow mw2 connections, Im not gonna be too technical but use your old router if u can...

Try sticking one in the "DMZ" on DD-WRT, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to get this to work
