JTAG Capable?

Heyy,

Well since my xbox got rrod and would be £96 to repair (from microsoft), i just bought a console off ebay for £55, and it's JTAG capable, and i'm just wondering what that is, and how to do it ?

it will then allow you to run custom dash and apps that will allow you to run external hdds for loading iso images of games from,xbla and dlc.these would be the main things that the jtag hack is used for.

Jtagged xboxes are how people mod, they let the hackers create the modded lobbies on cod, and i think they can do stuff in halo aswell, i remember reading something on how to do it, if i remember the website ill post a link

Off the top of my head:

a JTAG xbox is essentially a hombrew devkit which in essence allows you to do anything

Run unsigned applications such as xexloader (games ran from hard drive with no disc required)
Use signed content not intended for that user (map packs and Arcade games to name a few)
Run unsigned code in games (its how they mod cod and halo)

yeah with a jtag, you can run mw2 lobbies such as 10th prestige hack, all challenges unlock, spinning 10th emblem and game modes such as global themonuclear war.
you can also do other mods such as golden desert eagle, shoot with your hand and you can even go as far as getting god mode etc.
