    Thumbs up Skullcandy

Right, so I was in a shop today and came across some Skullcandy headphones, I had to look twice at the price tag, £27.99!? LUL?

Right so I got me mate to erm "borrow" some for me so I could compare them against my £1 bass headphones, there is a great deal difference apart from the lifetime warrenty... lol

What are your views on Skullcandy? Over priced? Paying for the name?

Skullcandy headphones aren't worth the price tbf, they're good headphones but they'll break after about 3 month. If they didnt break so easy then they'd be worth it, I have some and they havent broke yet luckily but everyone elses havee.

Skullcandy are like Apple, you pay for the brand IMO, after mine broke I got some Sennheisers and they are much nicer and have lasted longer!

Well I tend to be very careful with stuff I have, like my phone will have minor scratched after a year of use... My mates will have broken theirs lol.

Im listening to them at this moment and tbh theyre abit like HD channels, I cant tell they difference apart from its brighter....

I use SkullCandy headphones. I have to admit I do prefer them to quite a few other brands for their bass channels. They are a tad over priced, but if you get them cheap like I did, then they're definitely worth it. Mine haven't broken and I've had them for about 6 months now, maybe longer. And the set before them I had for about six months and I lost them

Way overpriced, mine broke within a month and bought a pair of £4 Phillips ones which sounded just as good.

They're much better than the ones that came with my iPod, and I can definitely tell the difference between these and the £7 JVC Gumys I used to have. I my skullcandy Ink'd buds, so much I'm going to soon treat myself to proper headphones

Skullcandy, like Sennheiser and Bose are ride-on-reputation brands that have average products at best but everyone thinks they're fabulous so they pay ridiculously high prices.

Those silly dr. dre headphones are just as bad, you pay for the name and not for the quality. There are good brands out there that're known for their name and quality.

Some examples are: Audio-Technica, AKG, Grado. I personally own a pair of Audio-Technica headphones and they are pretty fabulous.
