    Question Camera Problems?!

I have a new camera and I was trying to get some photos onto my laptop. I've plugged it in with the USB and when I'm on Computer to look at the file, it keeps coming up with a message saying "Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (F: )". It doesn't help that I don't understand any of it as I totally fail at technology (and maybe common sense).

    Any ideas?

This may sound kind of stupid but I made the same mistake with my camera so i'm not sure if im going to flamed for this :L. But when I plugged mine in it was off and the same happened, so i plugged it in and actually turned the camera on to as if I was going to take a picture and it then connected, although if you go into settings on your Camera it may ask you something about USB connections, have you tried looking for that?

My sister had the same problem. Depending on the brand, they may have either added a disk with the camera or software should be on their website. You need to software to extract the pictures from the camera. No clue why. Hopefully this helps

It's probably my fault. I lost the disk that came with the package. It's not all bad, it works on my sister's laptop so not to worry.
    Thanks anyway.

You can always go to the manufacturers website.

Annoyingly, some cameras do need the manufacturer's software. Our Toshiba camcorder did, but so far, my HP M425 and Samsung ES15 haven't needed it.
