And you thought politicians couldn't get any worse? Cash for honours, expenses scandal etc and now this.

To summarise, labour cabinet ministers have been offering to change the law and policies for people offering them large amounts of money.

Once again this is for personal gain and IMO belittles the expenses scandal, this is actually changing the law for businesses in return for money.

Throw the lot of them in prison.

Cabinet ministers have condemned former colleagues who were secretly filmed apparently offering to try to influence government policy in return for cash.

In the Channel 4 and Sunday Times film Stephen Byers reportedly says he will try to change policy for up to £5,000 a day and is like a "cab for hire".

Patricia Hewitt allegedly says she would need up to £3,000. Both firmly deny any wrongdoing.

"Both firmly deny any wrongdoing." - I think it just sums up all of our political class when you hear that. I'm sorry but they have been caught out red handed. Although most people dont know it, it goes on in Westminister and over in Brussels as well where millions change hands between influential businessmen and lobbying groups to the Commission. We've had expenses, we have had just about everything so this really isnt much of a suprise its sad to say.

I'd just anyone whos thinking of voting for one of the main parties; why? - even if you dont agree with other parties such as the Greens, BNP or UKIP just dont vote for the same old liars, thieves and corrupt people because that way nothing will ever change. If need be, go the polling stations and just spoil your ballot by putting simply across the ballot 'none of the above'.

Dissolve parliament and start criminal proceedings against anyone who has indulged in misconduct.

Yes this is poor and any Member of Parliament caught doing this should be prosecuted whatever party they belong to. Obviously this 'sting' was aimed at Labour politicians but I am sure they are not the only ones. Also it is possible they may claim 'entrapment' but having seen on the interviews on Sky just now I don't think they have a leg to stand on. This could get very interesting.
