Default Bootcamp not working. Any ideas :l

    Hey.

Trying to install Windows 7 x64 on my macbook using Bootcamp, but for some reason it won't boot. The install goes fine, then the macbook reboots to press any key to boot from CD. I leave it and nothing happens. I've tried booting without the CD in and nothing happens

I must have installed Windows about 100+ times but not x64 on my macbook. It should work as far as I'm aware :S Any ideas?

You are required to format the Windows partition during the actual formatting on the Mac, and then again during installation. Did you do this?

    Huh?

I run Bootcamp, make the Windows partition and then run the DVD. And format it to NTFS in the Windows setup. It all installs fine then doesn't boot.

When the Mac is completely off and you hold down the option key, then turn the mac on, what boot options do you see?

    Common mistake.

Bootcamp creates three partitions IIRC, only format one of them or something like this, I kept making this mistake too.

So in the Windows 7 installer dont delete the partition, just click the BOOTCAMP one and click format, then click next (I run Windows 7 x64 on my MacBook just fine for gaming )
