Pictures in visitor messages

Can you please allow pictures on Visitor Messages. Cause you're allowed to post videos so i think you should be able to post picture because the image re sizer makes them small an all

Visitor messages are for messages. Allowing images aswell just makes them uglier.

I don't see any real reason for this? As Dander has said, Visitor Messages are to post a little public message and right now I don't see a pressing need to be able to post pictures in them.

If we are following that principle though, why do we allow videos?

I also agree with both Garion and Dander about messages being for messages, but I also think it's somewhat hypocritical if we allow videos, but not images!

Why would being able to post pictures be beneficial do you think and what type?

I do agree here - it is an interesting suggestion that could be explored at least.

Videos you can give link to music videos people might have been looking for etc. How often do you get that with images ... ?

Oh my mistake. I had forgotten videos were allowed in visitor messages. It will be discussed

Just to update everyone, we have decided not to have pictures in Visitor Messages. We are unable to use the image resizer in visitor messages and therefore it would be very difficult to stop members posting oversized images in profiles and annoying members. Moderating something like this is extremely difficult as it's something we have absolutely no control over. I think it will cause more annoyance than have any benefit.

We do not have this issue with videos, as they are always a set size and do not stretch profiles and cause members annoyance. This is why you are allowed to post them and not images.

Great decision Its weird that the resizer doesnt work on profiles though. Probably could be recoded for it but its too much hassle i guess.
