I wouldn't imagine many members will have seen this, but I saw it the other day. I went in without a clue as to what it was about other than that it was in Swedish with subs. Because of that it slightly took me by surprise, but have to say it was a very good film.

Apparently it's the first of a trilogy which is something to look forward to. I also hear Hollywood are considering remaking it so I urge anyone who is interested to go see the original while you can. Subtitles don't make a film any harder to follow or anything like that.

I haven't seen it myself but my Screenjabber colleagues have been singing its praises. The next film has already been shot, and yes, it is getting the American remake treatment, which until David Fincher signed onto direct, could have just as well been spat on.

It's a fantastic movie. Very compelling. I didn't know whether or not I'd like it when I first sat down to watch it (I don't listen to hype, reviews or friends opinions, I start with an open mind and form my own opinion) but I seriously enjoyed it. It's quite graphic and emotional (that some people might find disturbing or wrong) but I like movies like that.

What is America's obsession with remaking everything? Can't they just watch the original.

I started reading the book and couldn't get into it but maybe I'll give the movie a go.

I've wanted to see it for ages, but it never came to my cinema so I'm out of luck. Guess I'll wait for the DVD.
