    Default Help :D

I'm gonna buy either HeartGold or SoulSilver but I haven't played Pokemon for YEARS so I have no idea what the difference between them are. I've seen threads about trading as well so if someone could explain how that works that'd be helpful, and the Pokewalker, what does that do? So yeah, those questions and how are the two games different?

    Trading
Ok I havn't traded as of yet, because nobody I know is sad enough to buy pokemon. But trading from DS to another DS you just have to be close to somebody. When your trading over Wi-Fi you have to have their friend code I think.

    Differences
There arn't any differences in the game play it's pretty much the same, but there are a list of pokemon you can't get on both games.

Heres a list of pokemon you can't catch in heart gold:
    Vulpix
    Ninetales
    Meowth
    Persian
    Ledyba
    Ledian
    Delibird
    Skarmory
    Teddiursa
    Ursaring
    Mawile
    Gulpin
    Swalot
    Groudon

And the poke'walker works like a Pedometer it counts how many steps you make and the pokemon walks the same. Getting into battles, finding things, as it walks. I havn't used it as of yet, but will probably use it when I next play football.

    I hope I helped

you get things called watts when you use the pokewalker and can use the watts to find pokemon or items (it's on the menu, I think 10 watts if you wanna find a pokemon and 3 watts for an item)

    Version exclusive Pokemon:

On HeartGold you can catch Ho-Oh earlier in the game than in SoulSilver (at level 45) but you have to wait until you get to Pewter City in Kanto (After beating the Elite Four) to catch Lugia (at level 70).
