    Default Samsung or LiteOn

I'm torn between this Samsung: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/145450
    and this LiteOn drive: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/176026

    and also this LG: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/169683

Samsung apparantly has trouble reading Windows disks, and apparantly the LiteOn sucks, but which is best?

If in doubt: Samsung. Works for nearly anything they make.

I have a an IDE LG drive that is slightly similar to that and it's fine. I've used a similar Samsung in the past (IDE) on a HTPC for a friend and that's fine too.

Do NOT get that Samsung. That drive is known to have problems with the OEM code, I know from experience!

Get the cheapest IMO, or reuse an old one from an old computer.

LG, I'm sure that's the same drive I got when my old one packed in.

I think I'll pick the LG.

I haven't got a DVD drive spare from an old PC to use, either.
