    Default Intrusion Attempts

My Norton keeps blocking an intrusion attempt. Should I be worried about this?

When i view the details it says:

    Severity: High
Activity: An intrusion attempy by c36996639.cn was blocked. Application path \DEVICE\HARDDISKVOLUME2\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEXPLORE.EXE
    Recommended Action: No Action Required

    Risk Name: HTTP Tidserv Request
    Attacking Computer: c36996639.cn (213.163.89.107, 80)
Attacker URL: c36996639.cn/aV83Mccd6A4JblC6dmVyPTMuNyZiaWQ9N2EyY2RjYTQtNjJIM (and a load more letters which I can't be bothered to type out)
I also keep getting new windows opened taking me to a website search page. Sometimes in the URL it has something I've recently searched on Google. I'm not sure if this is related.

Can't edit but I just realised it always happens when I search something on Google. I noticed it come up when I searched something so I tried two more times and it came up both times.

Now I'm just wondering why this is happening.

I'll do that. It's worse than it was last night. I tried clicking a link on Google four times and it kept redirecting me to different websites.

I was thinking of upgrading to Windows 7 anyway so if I get the upgrade disc (I can get the Windiows 7 Professional Upgrade for £70 because of a student offer) can I still format and then install Windows 7 without the Vista disc? So basically, put the Windows 7 upgrade disc in, format, install Windows 7.
