1.4 is more expensive than a 1.6, Just so you can help me out more these are all 2010 plates image in spoiler;
I think im going to end up getting the 1.6, Will audi do good insurance stuff?
Ross

The 1.4 is a turbo, so it's either 120bhp, 140bhp or 170bhp as illustrated by the 'TFSI' rather than the naturally aspirated 1.6 FSI which is 110ish-bhp.
Also DON'T go 3rd party only. The insurance is cheaper, but if you write it off then you're still gonna be paying the £15k odd finance on the car.

i'm the star in the reasonably priced car!
Yeah, TS(F)I means supercharged on skodas/vw/audis.
and my lord that's a lot for just 3rd party.
Why not get something slightly less flashy for a bit and get an Audi after that, you'll save thousands.
Get a golf if you still want something nice, won't be more than 2k tops for a 1.6.
An A3 is based on a golf chassis anyway...
The 1.4 is the 'S-Line' model, perhaps more desirable and may have a higher replacement cost.
It's turbocharged, not supercharged. But they're awesome cars, loads of power squeezed out the engine. It's the same engine that come in the Mk5 & Mk6 1.4 TFSI and the new polo 12n GTI which has 183bhp IIRC.Yeah, TS(F)I means supercharged on skodas/vw/audis.

On top of this, sometimes you can even get fully comp cheaper than third party, (I did).The 1.4 is a turbo, so it's either 120bhp, 140bhp or 170bhp as illustrated by the 'TFSI' rather than the naturally aspirated 1.6 FSI which is 110ish-bhp.
