You'd have to suspend your disbelief to be a fan of soaps. At least it's no where near the level of outrageousness as EastEnders.

This is the reason I never watch any soaps. They present life in a very negative and false way.

I am not a fan of soaps personally, and I do find them outrageously lacking in realism most of the time, but that is absolutely audacious! Far more audacious than anything that has happened in Eastenders before
. Yeah the amount of things that happen in any soap on a regular basis is ridiculous (i.e. affairs, murders, fights etc in just one episode!) but they do happen in real life in some places, spread out. This would just never happen.

Where do people watch OAPS drinking tea all day? They do portray different elements in society I agree but they are so OTT it is unbelievable.

EastEnders = having a character's storyline built for an entire year only for her to be abruptly killed off in the worst death captured on film.
