    Default Depression.

I have no motivation for anything. Exams are approaching and I am probably nervous about them but I feel depressed for no reason.

I doubt its actually real depression, you might just feel down about stuff but i doubt depressed.
Be confident about your exams and if you've been revising and listening in class, it'll be a breeze.
In some spare time why not go socialise with your mates or family to get yourself out more? You'll feel better, trust me.
Keep your head up buddy, good luck with things!

Chin up, I'm off to the army at half 8 tomorrow morning and leaving the girl behind I love. Exams are nothing to be scared/nervous/worried about, just do your best.

I usually feel this way around this time of year too Paul, I think because class has become boring routine and you get tired of putting up with the same old things!

    Tell me about it
Life sucks at the moment. It's all because of exam pressure. Just look forward to the summer or something to help?

    Biggest lie ever!

Exams are stressful, and they are pretty big but as long as you try your hardest to achieve your best what can go wrong

When I'm depressed I always tell someone something that is annoying me, or write it down. If it's random depression I just try to fall asleep. Or randomly make myself cry. I'm not normal, am I? LOL

I've just had this and my exams week just ended on Friday. I didn't start revising until the weekend before at which I had to physically force myself. I ended up staying up to really late in the evening and into the morning and was taking energy drinks and pills so I would stay up (not advisable , I started shaking). It was probably the most unpleasant time I've ever been through.

I've no doubt that it's not depression, but just a low period which we all go through at one point. The distinction between this and depression is that it would be a prolonged period in which you physically don't have the energy or motivation do absolutely anything, including post on the forum.

And don't listen to RNB.Queen. Exams may be very stressful, but they are never as bad as they seem. I've just taken my biological psychology exam, and I don't know **** about biological psychology. I just about had a stroke trying to revise cause my computer kept crashing and I didn't sleep for 2 days. But when I went into the exam, I went fine, I've got no idea if I passed, but still it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Just start revising at comfortable periods and DO NOT OVERWORK YOURSELF! You could do some cognitive revision as well like when you're walking down the street or making a meal. During times when you aren't using a lot of thinking power, just go through stuff that you've revised and try to explain it in words. Talk to yourself if you have to. This can be beneficial as it helps you sort through what you know and gives you ideas of how to describe it in the exam. It can give you more confidence as well.

Just remember that if you've revised and payed attention in lessons, you'll do fine, and there are always resits. Exams are never as bad as they seem, and I assume you've had exams in the past so you've faced them before so why not now ? So just chill, relax and take a breaks every now and again. Oh and try to get as much sleep as possible during your exam period.

I'm sure you'll do fine, and good luck !
