Default My Uncle nearly chopped his hand off!

If this is the wrong forum to post this in please feel free to move it!

Well my uncle came round this weekend with his hand all bandaged up and it turned out that he was trying to mow his lawn when it suddenly got blocked with grass and stopped working. He flipped it over (forgetting to turn it off) and stuck his hand between the blades to unblock it when suddenly they started to turn again resulting in a couple of large chunks of his hand being cut off.

He actually has to go see a plastic surgion next week as apprently his hand looks pretty mangled.. I have realised that other than breaking my arm I haven't really had any freak accidents like this has anyone else got a story like the above?
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

When I was in school in Design Technology, one of the students from the year above was using the bandsaw, turned away and cut the top of his finger off. He said it didn't hurt cause it was such a clean cut. He got it put back on at the hospital

Sounds stupid but you'd be surprised how many doughnuts make the same mistake with lawnmowers lol - health and safety classes is the reason i know this useless information.
I've never had a freak accident that involved body parts getting chopped off or anything but i've swallowed multiple things like the end circle thing of a balloon, a mobile phone aerial and a pound coin.

Aha, typical dad down to the pub to tell his story. Does sound pretty stupid but when you're wondering what's gone wrong you're just thinking of other things! Glad he's alright.
