What's wrong with stacking?

Hey,

Up until yesterday I could easily stack bars and other items (using the Habbox "bar stacking" guide).
Just yesterday I redesigned my room and stacked lodge dividers, minibars and portable TVs and it worked easily.

And now today I try to stack, and it just won't work.
Did they patch stacking with credits or something like that? Can anyone try stacking lodge dividers and see if it works for him?

It seems like if I place the Z shelf 3 high (instead of 2) it DOES work (however, it looks bad because there's a big space between the 2 furni). I could swear it worked yesterday with a height of 2.

EDIT 2:

Portable TVs DO work when I only place the Z shelf 2 high. But minibars and lodge dividers only work when it's 3 high.
And for those wondering, yes, I'm completely 100% sure that yesterday it worked for me. In fact - I still have minibars stacked in my room from yesterday, and if I try stacking some now it won't work (unless I stack the Z shelf 3 high and then it's ***** )

I was going to make this thread yesterday but I've become too disheartened wit habbo to care anymore. Here's the lowdown, from what I've gathered anyway:

Bar stacking is currently messed up, it does work but only at certain heights, which don't always work. So for example, you could put a bar ontop of another but only if the top one was like 5-6 zs above it, which is completely impractical. You already mentioned this, I'm aware.
The problem isn't that you can't get the z shelves into the bar, because you can do that part fine, the problem lies in putting the next bar on top. For some unknown reason, half the time it won't let you place the bar ontop of the z's, just the same way as you wouldn't be able to place a gate into the air or something similar - it just doesn't allow it.

However the real nuisance for me is that 3-space bar stacking is completely not working. At all. Whereas bar stacking works to some extent, although jarry, merging bars or anything else flat on the floor is not working at all. You can roll the chair into the stack so it's set up perfectly to merge something in but, like the bars, it just doesn't work. I'm disheartened because this particular method makes stacking damn near anything super easy. It also made many things possible, which hadn't been for years, namely stacking in the corner of petals in the corner of rooms (this is the only public application of the method I've seen, even though it made so much more possible).
SO if I were you and I had a casino set up with a full petal floor I wouldn't rebuild it until you know for sure this is going to get fixed.
Ideally they will fix it. There have been problems with stacking mechanics before but they don't normally last this long. Staff have used bar stacking in their rooms before too, although very very rarely so it's no concern to them. Just have to hope that they resolve these problems, or at least provide some explanation as to why things changed overnight because it's a real nuisance.

Hey LoveToStack, thanks for replying, I'm glad I'm not the only one in this boat.

I should note that I remember that after trying different ways to get my minibars to stuck, eventually I quit the room, went to another room and then back to my room and it DID stack it, but it only worked once, and whenever I tried doing it again (leaving the room and coming back) it didn't work again. Maybe it was a coincidence, I dunno.

I don't know anything or any reason why it won't work..
all i can say is that im glad i stacked my lodge bars in my events room before it was 'patched'

It's still broken, no petal stacking possible except for the normal "slide it onto the petal but you can't put them in corners anymore" way.

Apologies for breaking the advanced stacking. The roller stacking actually relied on an old unspecified behavior of the server (read: a bug) and as part of creating new functionality that part of the server code was cleaned, resulting the bug going away. We're looking into how we can re-introduce the feature, but we don't know yet how much work it's going to be.

Well it worked for me, I just used two coins, that old method...




Just tried the same method for coins but with country ditches and it also works. I screeny it soon.


Edit- Cant get corner stacking to work ;l

but the gate glitch still works!
And ditches work when using rollers!
