Default Sydney, Australia - Trip recommendations?

So I'm going to be spending two months in Australia working a part time job and an internship. I'll be living in Sydney, and I was wondering if anyone had any fun suggestions on places I should visit? I've been to Sydney before, about 4 years ago, so I saw all the major sights and stuff, but this time around I'm over 18 and not with my parents, so I'll be able to have more fun

Also.. Any recommendations on a phone carrier I should use for those two months? I currently use an iphone in the US with AT&T, but their international plans are so expensive, so i was planning on ending my plan here and hopefully finding a carrier that would let me sign up for a short prepaid plan of some sort and use the iphone I already own?

    +Rep for any help!

I've pretty much quit Habbo & Habbox, but I still stop by every once in a while. If you knew me, send me a message saying hi, and I promise I'll get back to you! Miss all you wonderful people who saved me from boredom all those years.

Okay as an australian i thought i should reply!
So, firstly, sydney will be expensive (well the cbd will be and so will taxis). Telstra is the "best" telecom over here, simply because the government backs it up, but it is also quite expensive for what you get! (perhaps it is just plans..) If you are willing to just stay in the metropolitan areas i'd check out 3 because when you are not within a Three (3) 3G zone, you roam onto Telstra, which is good... Stay away from Virgin/Vodafone and possibly Optus (thats the next biggest, but coverage varies).

Also, i'd stay in melbourne, its defs the best part of australia. There really won't be much more sight seeing to do for you since you've seen the major things...

Yeah. Being 18 doesn't really change the things you can do in Sydney, unless you're into clubbing and bars.
