Default How to ask for something back. [+5rep]

Okay, i'm in a pickle right now.
This person i know (i dunno if they want to be friends, i mean, the whole thing is childish tbh*) has belongings that belong to me. I'm not going to make the effort to drive to their house, i used to ALWAYS go to their house and they rarely visited me. So anyway, i have a DVD of theirs and they have some things of mine. I told them to pick their DVD from my house and they agreed, I also told them to asked them to bring me back my stuff (which is admittedly somewhat nerdy stuff).

So, do i just tell them exactly what it is? AND how should i say it?

*they are angry because i asked their friend for advice about something over facebook, and i said i give bad advice on purpose about relationships ;s (obviously i was into them, thats why i gave bad advice.) P.S, the advice really wasn't like "omg MRS.X is just using u" or some random ******** like that, it was more "oh, i probs wouldn't".

Edit: the items are Super Mario 64 and a book we shared, where we wrote thoughts and **** down (well, mainly i did, but they did too) ;\

I think they will get in trouble more if they don't collect their parents DVD. heh!
and they are coming over on tuesday anyway to pick it up. could be a bit... tense

also, the main question is.. how do i ask or tell them what actually is mine?

Demand it back. That usually works.

you could go for the calm and subjective way...

'dya reckon I could have my stuff back too?'

or to sweet talk even more, add a please on it.

Yeah, if it was me i would just ask them straight when they came to pick their stuff up. Just say when they come 'oh and btw, do you still have my stuff cause i kinda need it back' or something along those lines. Then arrange a day you could go and pick it up?

Get a black bag, black and white suit with a gimp mask and climb up their pipe, sneak into the window and hire Drop Dead Fred tbh.

When they come, if they don't bring your stuff then just give them theirs. Then the next day drive to their house and ask for it. They can't really turn you down when you're at their doorstep. If they say no, then demand it.
