Default Friends mum and dad split up

    Hey guys,

My friends mum and dad have split up and he has texted me about it. I really do not know what to say because I've never known anyone who's mum and dad have split up and my mum and dad haven't split up.

    Any advice because I don't know.. :S

I'm no expert either but can't you just say you're there to listen and he's welcome to come round to yours if things get too much?

just tell him that even though his parents have split up it dont mean they dont love him,
and also that he wont lose either of them just that they wont be living together.
also say your always there to listen if he ever feels the need to talk and that he can always come and stay with you

    its hard
make sure you're there for him and there to listen to him
take him out, get him out etc etc to help him forget about it
dont mention it unless he brings it up first
tell him you're sorry and you wish him the best

My mum and dad split up but I was at a much younger age. Just make sure you tell them that you are there for them and they are welcome to talk to you any time about anything. Just be a good listener!

Aww. Well it's always tough to see parents split up. Just be there for them, it's always nice to have a friend to talk to when you're going through something like this. Their parents are obviously going to be happier if they're not together, and it's their decision to break up. It's hard, but eventually it'll be easier and it won't be as bad as it seems.

From personal experience I just wanted someone to be there to listen to me and give me lots of hugs. I didn't necessarily want advice because there is no set way to deal with something like this, everyone can deal with things in different ways.

Invite him out and stuff to try and take his mind off things, if he says no and wants to stay in then try and see if he wants to watch a film or something. Just let him know that you're there whenever he needs you.
