Skiing or Snowboarding?

I love snowboarding but skiing seems to be more popular amongst the British. Which would/do you prefer?

I've only done skiing. Snowboarding doesn't look as fun.

Snowboarding is rubbish, and most of them spend most of their time sitting on the slope, and it's bloody annoying.

I've done both many times, and skiing IS more fun, skillful and just generally better.

skiing, snowboarders are up their own arses, one did a jump over a lump of snow and ploughed into the back of me, and for a good 200m beforehand he was level with me, what an idiot

Hmm well my ambition over the summer is too learn one of them. I have a bunch of mates who are regularly go to the Tamworth Snowdome and they've promised to teach me to Snowboard. I think skiing looks a bit better if I'm honest but seeing as I don't have the choice I'm not too fussed.
