    Default molar filling.

I currently have a small hole in my molar that doesn't cause me any pain or discomfort when eating and I've already been to see my dentist to make an appointment to have it filled. I'm concerned about what is going to happen because I've never had a 'big' tooth filled before and I cannot stand a needle in the gum area.

Has anybody had this performed? If so, what happens? +REPP.

i've had a filling before the worst part is the needle but i'm sure you could ask for the numbing cotton stuff they have instead?

it will just be like a normal filling but might take a little longer because of the size

i'm sure it depends on the size of the hole and at current i can't decide whether it's big or not.

I've just been to my eleven o'clock appointment and I had this done within five minutes. I really used to think the needle was the most painful thing in the world but when I actually recall the last time I had a needle in the gum it was when I was eleven and had four simultaneously placed one after another. Nothing to worry about now but my face is still numb and trying to ask for the correct fare on the bus was a nightmare.

I have. I wish I never ate so much sugary foods and took care of my teeth more because I hate this filling.
