Electric Shock

When I am sitting on my laptop and I touch my iPod I get an electric shock, any ideas why. It's not a little shock either, it's a nasty one!

I get the same thing when I touch it whilst its in a docking station, I have no idea why, maybe just dodgy wiring after repeat usage, other than that, im not sure, I know what it feels like though and it really does hurt! :L
